Effects Of Covid-19 to Canadian Workers

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Canadian workers have significantly been affected in job satisfaction, stress management, and occupational health safety. However, there have been attempts to regain the economic status after the pandemic. The effects are still visible to the community. In this case, the Canadian workers are the critical concern, and the study is based on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the workers. The pandemic led to the closing of workplaces to control the spread of the virus. Therefore, many employees were sent home without jobs. This increased stress among the employees due to the increased cost of living and no income (Adams, 2022). I have seen some of the workers laid off from their jobs join the entrepreneurial sector as they seek to make money to provide for their services.

For example, in the health sector, the workers experienced burnout due to the increased cases of the COVID 19 virus. Although they sought to protect the community from further spread, the burnout and increased workload led to increasing stress. This leads to the importance of policies that will ensure the workers deal with the pressure from the working environment (Adams, 2022). Examples of these policies include increasing virtual methods of caring for the workers, encouraging workers to seek psychological assistance, and integrating the administrative management to improve the workers that will help reduce the workload of the existing workers.

I anticipate that the impacts are only for a short while if the policies are implemented to deal with the effects of the pandemic on the workers in Canada. Other approaches to help deal with the financial constraints among entrepreneurs include giving the entrepreneurs funds that would cater to the losses when the businesses were closed and support the starting businesses. Also, reducing the curfew hours will allow businesses to operate during the night, which will help reopen the economy.
