ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY IN SCHOOLS

Schools require management and this makes it necessary that the administration chooses the most effective styles. The use of zero tolerance policy is common with some schools but then there is a lot of controversy on whether it is a successful option. People have different arguments for and against this management style especially with regard to school management. [Click Essay Writer to order your essay]

People who support this policy in school argue that it is effective in ensuring that students are responsible in all activities. For instance, students should never bring guns to schools. With a zero tolerance policy, the students will obviously know that when they are caught with such an offense then they will be automatically expelled without any second chance (Fanny, 2016). This policy is also geared towards protecting the safety of the students. In many cases, students prove that they are incapable of making mature decisions and that makes it the sole responsibility of the administration to deliver the same. Providing students a chance to participate in management will mean time wastage, as they cannot make any meaningful contribution. [“Write my essay for me?” Get help here.]

Such a policy gives the school administration all the powers needed to protect the students. With such a policy, it would be possible for the administration to determine the troublesome students and discipline them without affecting the others. If the school has a well-defined policy, then this management style would be able to deliver based on such a management style. The parents and student will have a clear understanding of what is required of them and what to avoid (Fanny, 2016). This could be compared to how the society operates. People are expected to engage in specific activities. Should they choose to engage in other activities such as crime then the government gets to prosecute them based on well-defined laws. This is similar to the zero tolerance approach that never wants to take chances with the safety of students. [Need an essay writing service? Find help here.]
