COLLEGE APPLICATION: GRAPHIC DESIGN

Dear Application Reviewer:

Thank you very much for allowing me to submit an application to your school. I know that I am a top candidate for your school’s program because I have an extensive history in the arts. This includes a flair and passion that was expressed from the time I was a young child. I remember sitting at a craft table with my mom, and she would bring me the most amazing art supplies to arrange mesmerising projects. I would spend many hours sitting alone, designing large and small objects that looked as if they were from another world. This small-scale architecture type of art relates to what I want to do now, which is working as a visual graphic designer. Initially, I had thought I wanted to be an architect, but my focus has changed over the past several years. [Are you asking the question “Write my essay for me ?” Get help here.] Fortunately, my focus as a child and teenager in creating small structures transfers well to being a graphic designer. Creating art can be expressed in many forms, and even though I have only been developing my graphic design skills over the last several years, I know that my lifelong experience in creating art will provide me with the type of insight that makes me an effective graphic designer, and essay writer.

During my early years as an artist, I managed to create original works, and I think originality is very important in every field of art, especially in graphic designing where new images are needed to grab people’s attentions. My early artwork included developing various societies where kings and queens ruled vast lands, and the spectacle of human activity was captured in various scenes that I would establish with every element available to me. While my friends played with Legos, I used whatever I could find, and whatever my mother bought for me, to build astonishing civilizations. The detail with which I would design these creations is absolutely vital in graphic design, and I know that my imagination will provide a useful benchmark from which to launch a successful career as a graphic designer after completing your program.

My passion for creating new art designs continued into my high school years, where I would thrive in art class. The common feature in all of my designs, whether they were crafted during my childhood or when I was a small child, is the extreme flair. I did not create pieces of art that could be recognized as being similar to anything seen on Earth. Instead, they were quite out of this world, and people typically looked puzzled and marvelled when viewing my work for the first time. It was not long before my art was being displayed at local small galleries. I was so happy to be able to share my work with the world at such a young age, and this gave me incredible confidence that I was not just creating art for myself, but that I had the potential to please other people with my designs. This led me to believe that I was destined to become an artist. The comments that I received about my work encouraged me to pursue contemporary art design. This seemed like the only rational choice. I want to use the skills that I developed in small-scale architecture to become a graphic designer, and for this reason I know that the contemporary art program is of vital importance to my full qualification in this evolving field.

Since graduating from high school, I have continued to display my various work, which includes metal and wood miniatures of communities, but I have shifted now to focus more on graphic designing. The designs that I have created thus far are largely influenced by Antoni Gaudi, who also creates work that is other-worldly. I would love to include this type of original style in my graphic design pursuits. One of the most memorable comments I received from someone viewing my art was how it is comparable to Gaudi.

After high school, I completed my undergraduate study in the United States. My parents had said that it was important for me to focus on a career that would be more likely to produce a reliable income than art, so I enrolled in Marketing and Information Technology and achieved a bachelor’s degree. But I was not interested in the aspirations that my parents wanted, and I became enthralled in graphic design, which has allowed me to place my physical art aspirations onto the computer. This allows me to more effectively create the types of designs that are convertible to architecture.

I decided to now focus more on graphic design and not as much on architecture because I am computer-oriented, and I know that this field is the way of the future. This is a career choice that I know will be long-lived, whether I will be working at a newspaper designing print ads, or working for an online marketing company, creating promotions that will appeal to people who are completing quick searches on their computers. Your program is the way for me to get to where I want to be. The mastery level program will provide me with what it takes to begin living my dreams, and achieving a high level of personal success in a field where I can establish my roots and thrive in this industry. I am confident that your school’s program is the best way for me to enter the profession that will help establish me in my career. [Need an essay writing service? Find help here.]
