Nursing

The link “The future of Nursing 2020-2030″ is vital for nurses globally. The book provides a global report that illustrates the path of the nurse’s profession. Additionally, it promotes quality health, addresses health disparities and improves individual well-being in the United States. One of the critical topics in the book is nurses leading change. This topic illustrates how nurses act as leaders through various activities such as advocating for health policy and system change, promoting community health, and fighting for redesigning nursing educational programs.

Under the topic of Nurses leading change, the laws advocate creating structures and systems that enhance equity. Nurses of different levels make their priority to be promoting equity. This can be done through nursing leaders educating their coworkers to establish a workplace that ensures there is equality (Wakefield et al., 2021). Managers can design policies that foster equity or even influence the government to advocate the issue.

When equity policies are enforced, different stakeholders will benefit directly or indirectly. Firstly, patients will benefit massively since their issues will be addressed without judging differences. Additionally, healthcare providers will help because they can collaborate with other employees and deliver quality care. Furthermore, the government will benefit from healthcare equity (Wakefield et al., 2021). This is because when a hospital promotes all human rights, there will be zero chaos in the country, improving the country’s economy.

However, to implement this policy, advanced practice nurses have to adopt strategies to improve the political engagement of coworkers. A key strategy to achieve equity is mentoring and sponsoring the other nurses (Wakefield et al., 2021). Mentoring is essential as nurses assume expertise and find a way of achieving their goals. Additionally, acting as a sponsor is more vital when an active role is required to help other nurses. Sponsorship involves advocating for career advancements and making critical decisions while protecting fellow nurses.
