The book The 5 Second Rule: Transform Your Life, Work, and Confidence with Everyday Courage” by Robbins (2017) explores vital concepts on five significant rules that can help transform people’s lives. The author’s setting of the book is based on real-life experiences from different people. Robbin states that the struggles of marriage, career, financial, and self-esteem triggered the development of the rules. The author realizes that the rules had a powerful impact on personal life, work, employment, and even family within no time. 

Firstly, the rules teach individuals how to change. This is because it increases to master self-monitoring and be more productive towards the future. Besides, it changes people’s self-esteem as it enforces confidence and courage to support personal abilities and opinions. Similarly, the changes in people’s attitudes towards anxiety and worrying create a positive way that beats fear. It is a powerful tool that helps conquer depression and addiction.

Secondly, the rules play an essential role in the workplace. The author states that it helps is influential since it helps individuals conquer their biggest fears by giving them a voice. It drives courage and enables inferior employees to associate and speak their minds to their superiors, creating a friendly environment and helping people achieve their career objectives (11). Additionally, the five rules enhance productivity. Productivity encompasses the aspect of personal income and educational qualifications.

Furthermore, the author emphasizes using the rules in the business world. Robbin (13-14) gives a few examples where the authorities have aided people to establish new relationships and networks. Similarly, businesses thrive as executive managers drive sales and improve innovation using the five rules (16). Innovations come into play as people conquer fears and work as a team to develop new ideas and put them into action.
