Human resource management (HRM) is one of the essential parts of an organization; managing HR effectively is vital for the success of an organization. Performance management is an integral part of HRM, and there are different software developed to assist in the management. Major software that I consider in performance management is Bamboo HR, ELMO, and Oracle HCM cloud software packages. I decided to investigate performance management related to the three software packages because it is one of the most crucial areas in an organization. Without adequate performance management, an organization can experience changes related to employee satisfaction, promotion, and recognition (Helmold & Samara, 2019). Performance management is meant to ensure that the organizational goals and objectives are achieved. This can be done through effective performance management where the organization is aware of the talents of individual employees, capacity to deliver the objectives, identify and provide solutions for performance-related issues. Short-term benefits of performance management include employee retention, increases employee performance and accountability, support workforce objectives, and helps identify the right employees to deliver duties (Njeje et al., 2017). Long-term benefits include achieving the organizational goals and objectives, improving organizational performance, building an organization’s reputation internally and externally, and helps employees to develop their careers through training.

ELMO is compatible with current technologies such as cloud computing; users can run the program on the cloud and enjoy all the benefits associate with the platform.
ELMO incorporates automate and simplified workflows; HR managers can receive automated alerts regarding employees and stakeholder management, approves and sign-off employees. ELMO is beneficial and can be used with other HR management software to increase capacity to handle different aspects of HR in an organization. It is built with performance management tools for monitoring and driving an organization’s workflows, objectives and productivity. It assists the manager to automatically align team objectives and strategies with monitoring progress and performance. One of the essential features of ELMO is 360 review, where reviews reading employee performance and collected and analyzed.

Oracle HCM Cloud allows HR management to manage employment in an organization by accessing employee information and analyzing employee-related factors such as skills, objectivity, and performance.
