Effective Leaders

Examples of leaders are; Alexander the Great, Winston Churchill, Asoka, Che Guevara, Julius Ceasar, Franklin D Roosevelt, Napoleon Bonaparte, George Washington, Adolf Hitler, Mae Zedong, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandera, and Mahatma Gandhi.

Effective leadership skills are important in influencing people at all levels. Effective leaders influence the actions of others to achieve a common objective. Influencing others calls upon creating trust and having clear visions.  Thus, for an organization to be successful, the leaders should possess the skills to motivate people in the right direction (Adair 2002). Two effective leaders that have positively influenced my life are Nelson Mandera and Mahatma Gandhi.

Nelson Mandela used remarkable leadership qualities as the president of South Africa. He advocated for peace and disarmed his enemies with a high level of forgiveness. He was determined and focus on his goals and icons for south Africa.  Such skills played a significant role in bringing a positive change that led to a better future for the people he led. He used a democratic leadership style where he involved people in taking part in political decisions (Pietersen 2015).  His visions encouraged him to fight for humanity. As he grew, he experienced the elimination and the cruelty that South Africa faced. Due to this, he believed he had the power to liberate it and free the people from the bondage.  With his excellent skills as a leader who was concerned about his people’s well-being, he organized ways to fight for freedom. He encouraged the fighters to fight against the oppression, and he succeeded in rescuing South Africa from a long time of suffering.

Mahatma Gandhi used a transformational type of leadership. He led his people as an example and empowered them to become better.  He also motivated the followers and made them do things in their way with confidence. Throughout his life, he united people to fight for what they believed in., by making his followers stand for what they want,  he made that feel courageous about the decisions they will make in their life. As for him, he has confidence and a spiritual leader (Iyer 2000). He believed that being confident and trusting in himself would help him achieve great things. Whatever he did during his entire leadership involved uniting people as a transformational leader.

Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey is a self-made business leader. Her leadership skills are excellent and effective. Over the years, she has emerged to be one of the famous businesswomen. Her business success was through combining three key factors; her team, values, and vision (Krohn2008). She has skills in organizing and motivating people. Her company has the policy of investing in top talented people to maintain competence and compatibility. In this way, she can maintain a good relationship with her customers by producing the best. Like any other leader, Oprah surrounded herself with the best and informed people who influence her decisions.

She also looks for mentors and values guidance. For instance, in the early years of her career, Jeff Jacobs advised her on her crucial contract deals, and he helped launch her company successfully. Her allowed are powerful people in all the sectors. Similarly, she has been a smart leader that values the audience. She believes that her success has significantly been achieved because of the consumers. She carefully listens to their concerns and sometimes appreciates them with gifts. In one interview, she bored that. Her relationship with the consumers is the one thing that she holds dealt, and she had achieved great things because of trusting in her. Not only is she concerned about the relationship with consumers informing her present success but also her future. Investing in loyal mentors, peers, employees ad consumers has taken her caster to great heights. Her clear visions have impacted her leadership greatly.  Communicating the vision to those surrounding her has been a smart way to move from one level to another.  Her visions have kept her brave to achieve her dreams. A clear vision that she has focused on is building a unique brand and diversifying her distribution channels.

Oprah’s transformational and charismatic leadership skills have also contributed to her excellent leadership. As a transformational leader, he had inspired other people and provided them with a sense of vision. As a result, she has gained the power to use this intelligence to solve our problems and give the necessary attention to the consumers. As a charismatic leader, she has acted as a strong role model for the values that she desires her followed to have. As such, she has influenced their behavior by standing out to be confident and having a strong sense of moral values.

Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler was the first leader to command personally.  According to the leader principle, he had authority and extended it to his followers. On every level of his kingdom, the superiors had to give orders, and the subordinates had to follow strictly with no questions.  The actual relationship of the commanding was complex, especially at low levels. However, Hitler had the final word on any subject that he was directly interested in.  He had full control of the military operations and gave direct orders to the armies in the field (Lepsius 2006) . He had generals that served him and took orders from him. 

Adolf relied on instinct when making his decisions. He lacked effective skills that were required to contr military operations because he had no experience. He could reject information given to him if he felt it was inaccurate or unfit in the situation. I misread he used his instincts and belief that his will to win would overcome all the challenges he faced. The header in which he commanded his followers was unique. He believed that he could gain control of anything he desired. for instance, in 1942, at the battle of Stalingrad, he used street maps of the city on spreading out before the fights started in every bl ok. Also, at the end of the war, he gave an order that there should be no units until he permitted them. At this time, he demanded long prepress on every that was lost by his forces. By using such techniques, he ensured that opportunities and dangers went in unnoticed.

Additionally, Hitler used personal control in his leadership styles. These consisted of indecisiveness bad stubbornness. He could sometimes put off difficult decisions for weeks, especially when the military was in worse situations. For instance, in 1943, he could not make up his mind about the attack at Kurak. As a result, the attack was then pushed forward from April to July. This gave him enough time to prepare for the wars. Adolf Hitler used effective strategies to build an effective and persistent military operation in his kingdom. He focused on war timing, targets, and goals. The three factors contributed to his defeat against the Germans. Although it was his voice that counted during the war with Germany, his strategy led him to conquer them.

Adolf was a confident leader. He believed in himself to win in every situation, for example. He agrees on going to war with the British empire without knowing how to he was going to emerge victoriously.

Besides, Adolf Hitler was one of the key figured in world war 2.  He was the leader of theNazi party. Hitler turned the Nazzi party to be the largest political party in Germany. He achieves this through his speeches and propaganda skills that overwhelmed the public against the Germans. he made Germans devastated by defeating them in world war one and the great depression. When he became Germany’s president, he expanded the military and fisheries industries to go ahead with his military policies.

Hitler was a transformative leader ad he gave the German followers a vision of success. He instilled an optimistic attitude to achieve their achievement. He was also a charismatic leader because his destiny drove him, and he readers to this as ” Providence.” Provided for his. Followers, and this strengthened their loyalty and obedience. 

Wayne Gretzky 

Gretzky is the greatest hockey play ever in NHL  history. He has become a significant inspiration and encouragement to many hockey players. Also, He has gained good judgment skills over the years. Due to this, he can attract the right people and direct them into achieving his visions.

He has been a good hockey learn even when things got iced up. He has never gotten into fights. As a result, he has emerged ad ahold captain for his team because he sets a good example (Hoption 2007) He has led many children to start hockey in the NHL.

Also, he has been a philanthropist by participating in charitable organizations and donations. He has created a foundation that supports school kids to play better at hockey.

   His success beganin2002 when he demonstrated the contingency model well. It gave him the power to take control.  He used his position of power to take off his hockey Tama, and they do their jobs to win the Gold medal. His leadership skills were effective. He kept his players as the biggest concern, and his ultimate goal was to achieve the set goal. His charismatic leadership skills are evident in the Olympic games, where he food up for his team when nobody else did. He empowered the team to push harder to achieve the goal and eventuality. The team was able to make it. Over the years, Gretzky could be categorized as a great leader by observing how he achieved success. He had gathered tricks that helped him become the best hockey player. 

Florence Nightingale

Florence Nightingale o well known for her pioneer work in the nursing profession. Her success resulted from learning how to analyze the data and collaborate with key decision-makers critically. By using transformational leadership styles, she was able to influence great change in her profession. In the 1850s, busting had no great future ahead. The administration was poor. Florence attempted to provide a solution to solve the nursing shortage, which was a big challenge in the hospitals (Stanley 2010). She took measures to educate nurses and support them to practice until they become prepared. At that time, people believed that only women would make good nurses. However, for her, she was considered that. Men should be given a chance as well.

However he career r was ambushed by an epidemic crisis, and there was no enough nursing care. Using her extraordinary organizational skills, she was put in control—nursing leadership in times of crisis. How she handled that crisis is the emulate by all nurses all over the world.  She had gained public trust because of her reliability and compassion. He personified moral courage in a time of crisis. She was a standard-bearer who showed the policymakers at that time the meaning of change. Also, she demonstrated how leaders should have the courage to lead. She was determined to carry out nursing inquiry not only because she was a health reformer but also that she wanted to be a pioneer of fixing a broken health care system.

After reviewing the website, the four leaders can be said to effective leaders as they used their leadership skills to ensure their organization was in a good place. The leaders are informed of the goals they want to achieve and plan effective plans to achieve them (Menkes 2006).  Also, they are flexible to any changes that might occur in the leadership. They have a spirit of working towards positive results. I think they have why it takes to be good leaders because e they lead their followed efficiently.
