10 Tips to Becoming a Good Essay Writer

An essay is a short text (relative to a novella or technical paper) in which a writer depicts and develops their ideas, both objective and subjective. This type of writing has an introduction, development, and conclusion that considers a topic from a particular perspective. This genre is required by university teachers when proposing academic work. Therefore, we must know how to implement it properly.

10 key points to write a good essay

The first thing to be clear about writing an essay is the structure. But not only that, since other factors influence its quality that we try to cover throughout this post.

  1. Do as a professional essay writer

Think about it: work from home doing what you like the most, dedicate yourself body and soul to it, make writing your profession … does that sound good? Does it look like your dream? If the answer is yes, it will help you make it happen.

  1. Organize your priorities

Whether you want to combine it with another job or with your daily activities, find out what is your best time to write, set a minimum time each day to dedicate to writing, and stick to it.

If you leave writing for the end of the day, as a less important task, in the end, you won’t do it, or will be too tired to do it well. Don’t forget, now it’s your job, not a hobby. Respect it.

  1. Don’t get obsessed with the idea

Don’t be obsessed with getting an original idea for a novel because you might end up stuck in that quest. Think about the number of essays you have read with similar themes or concepts as a basis; they were different in how they had been developed. The most important thing is to have SOMETHING to tell and to tell it well. The most important thing is that you write.

  1. Create a roadmap

When it comes to entrepreneurs, they have their business plan. When it comes to becoming a professional essay writer,  or ghostwriter you can create something similar, a kind of roadmap.

Once you know the topic you want to deal with in your essay, determine the resources you are going to use (such as documentation), think about the reader you wish to target, study the books on the market for those objective readers, analyze the current market (editorials, self-publishing …), investigate success stories in the publishing world, look for books similar to the one you want to create.

  1. Analyze yourself

Look inside yourself and analyze your writing with a magnifying glass. Reflect on your strengths and exploit them. Find your weak points and avoid them or try to improve them (or both).

  1. Get trained

Learning to write takes a lifetime, so never stop training. Learn everything you need to learn. Read books about essay writing, read novels belonging to the genre you want to write, but also read other genres. Read fiction and essay. Read magazines, watch movies, go to exhibitions, and fill yourself with stories and experiences. Grow as a person, and you will grow as an essay writer.

  1. Surround yourself with positive people

This point is significant for the adventure you want to embark on: you need people to support you around you. On the contrary, constructive criticism is very useful, but people who only tell you that you cannot do it, that you are crazy and fill your head with insecurities and negative messages will prevent you from achieving your dreams. Stay away from them.

  1. Out of the shell

This may be the part you like least, but it is like this: your books will not sell themselves, especially if self-publishing is in your plans. You need to be known. Once you have started writing, consider creating a blog, or making a profile on social networks and then staying active on them. This does not mean that you have to spend more time researching than writing. Arrange it, reserve time in your list, and enjoy that time you dedicate to it.

  1. Persevere

Don’t worry or be impatient if things don’t go right the first time. Do not give up. Learn from your failures and rise above them, that’s what “entrepreneurship” consists of. You are going to launch a long-term career and remember that to start and to write, perseverance is more important than talent.

  1. Believe it!

You’re an essay writer. You can now work in ghostwriting Branche It does not mean that you are good or bad. It just means that you are a writer. Look in the mirror and repeat out loud: “I am a writer.” Repeat it as many times as you need until you believe it. You have to be convinced because if you don’t believe it yourself, why should others believe it? This is your now profession.
